Exes

It’s funny how our exes have a habit of haunting us; where did we go wrong?, was it me or him?, was he just not strong enough?, why does he want to get married now, but not to me?, am i too damaged? when did he stop loving me… why did he stop loving me?
In dreams, in memories, in stupid cases of their favorite soda…
Is it human nature? Or is it more than that? Less… simple?
And why is it haunting me? I’m in a relationship… will it haunt me until i get closure?
I hope to get said closure sooner than later though i have a feeling he’s always going to be in my head and under my skin, one way or another.
